The case for this stay
Soneva Fushi is the resort that ruined other resorts for me. The villas sit deep in jungle, with outdoor bathrooms open to the canopy and a private stretch of beach you'll genuinely have to yourself for hours.
The reef is the real star — a 3-minute paddle out and you're with reef sharks, eagle rays, and the occasional turtle. Bring fins. The marine biologist on staff will plan a snorkel for you that competes with a Galápagos trip.
